So i have started my first ever bulk,trying for lean bulk here.
A little background.
I have been cutting since december,was close to 220 pounds back then,now i am at 145 pounds.
and i guess 16% body fat
My height is 5'8.5"
So i have maintained a somewhat consistent log of my calorie intake during the cut,and reversed that to find that my maintainence was 2210 calories.
the confusion is where to go from now.
I have seen many articles stating a gain of 1:1 fat and muscle during a bulk is excellent,and many articles stating that during first year i can gain about 25 pounds of muscle,this means 2 pounds muscle each month.
so should i aim to gain 1 pounds per week or 0.5 pounds per week?
if its 1 pounds,then my daily calories target would be 3000,if its 0.5 it would be 2650.
so what should should i do?
i don't fret over micros but my macros are- 130g Protein everyday at minimum and 70g Fat per day minimum,then i eat whatever i want with IIFYM 40/60 split.
also is it normal that during first month of bulk weight fluctuates 2 pounds or more within the week?
