Pork spare ribs vs baby back ribs?

I've been smoking 15 pounds of back ribs every Thursday. It's getting expensive, about $70.00. Today I bought pork spare ribs, 15 pounds for $25.00.

Do they cook the same as back ribs? I presume that the meat is tougher, so maybe they need to be cooked longer. I smoke the back ribs at 250 degrees for 4 hours, then wrap it in foil and put it in a conventional oven at 225 degrees for another 4 hours.
