hey all, Ive just dropped like 25kg from strict calorie counting/cardio, and im like 2 weeks into my first attempt at bulking so i stop looking like im ill, i know i still have a bit of fat on me but im gonna go crazy if i dont get off this cutting diet at least for a little while lol
but im stuck on finding solid info on how much protein per day to bulk for a guy my size, i read the articles on the averages of having like 1.5g per kg etc, but at my height of 6ft 4, calculators usually say i need to eat like 230g - 250g protein per day... this cant be true :/ expensive AF too, other articles explain to only work this out for lean body mass and not include the fat im carrying, which is then giving me under 200g of protein per day... im lost and dont wanna get off to a bad start, or waste money on overeating protein.
So yeah im stuck lol, how much should a noob like me consume per day? and please dont be mean, i have been extremely depressed about this for years, i finally lost a lot of fat but got the saggy skin on my waist yay so I still look like i have a gut even after the fat loss.. sigh... but im finally seeing some good progress and definition :O, i just need some polite help and advice to continue :)
37yo, 193cm, bodyfat not sure but my latest progress pic is there for anyone wanting to guess.
Current intake is like 220g protein, 250g carbs, 85g fat, so around the 2800 calorie range.
Fitness is mostly a desk job but i do a 5 day split weight training and the other 2 days i do cardio for about 45mins.
