How do ribs contain so many calories?

The package says 250 calories per 100 grams for plain ribs.
However most of the ribs' weight are in bones. There's hardly any meat on them.
I have a hard time believing that 3 pieces of ribs are around 600 calories when i can eat 3 entire pork chops with more meat on them for only 450 calories.

Do they mean 100 grams of actual rib meat is that many calories or simply with the bones included? It be impossible to calculate otherwise unless you weigh the leftover bones and subtract it from the starting weight.
