Dumbest nutritional tactics in the name of fitness

I was thinking about this earlier today. I'm sure we've all done some pretty dumb things with nutrition because we believe one thing would be more optimal than the other. What are some of your nutritional mishaps that make you look back and say "What the hell was I thinking?"

Off the top of my head, mine has to be separating macronutrient intake WITHIN a meal. For instance, I would eat my carbs first, wait a few minutes, then eat my protein, wait a few minutes, then eat my fats. Can't even remember why I believed this would be beneficial, surely having to do with a belief of a more "optimal" insulin response. That **** just goes to your stomach, mixes and digests at different rates.

Give me some Friday afternoon laughter please, I'm in need of it.
