Does too much protein (not whey) cause acne?

I have been trying to search this forum and google, but found no answer. Mainly all posts on this forum mentioning protein and acne is about whey protein. There are a few threads discussing fat intake and acne, as some fatty foods are rich in omega 6, consuming too much fat can lead to acne breakouts. But can consuming too much protein in general cause acne (not necessary whey protein)? For example consuming 2.5 or more grams of protein per lb instead of 2 grams per lb.
