is beer like carbs? I drank 4 pints so is that +800 Calories?

I drank 4 pints today and as I've been cutting, I looked up how much that is in Calories, it's about 800. That's quite a bit, and could obliterate some of my deficit for the day - so does it really all get used up by the body and turned to fat, the way Carbs would? Or is there some saving grace for me.

800 Calories, obviously, is quite a bit. An 800 Calorie per day cut is quite decent, and this obliterate's the day's cut, if it is the same as +800 grams of carbs. how should I account for alcohol?
