So I'm having protien intake issues. Last month I was taking roughly 30-50 grams of protien(I weight 150 pounds). I take Muscle Milk(isolate) and mix it with whole milk. This gave me digestive issues and gas. So I sorta fixed that by adding water+milk into my protien shakes.
Starting last week I started intaking 6 eggs scrambled in the morning with 3-4 protien bars(10g each) as a snack later in the day. Then one last dinner meal plus protien shake after a workout. Was getting roughly 105-120 grams a day.
Currently I am experiencing intestine cramps and gassy.
I do not understand why everyone else can intake body weight in protien with no issues and here I'm having issues taking only 50.
Few things:
I have not tried switching protien brand or type.
I am vegetarian
Working out for about 5 months and have seen good changes and progressed in terms of strength.
Am I suppose to eat something else to help digest this protien? Am I taking too much at once? Do I need too start small and work my way up to 140g a day?
Edit: a little embarrassing but I just let out a couple really long farts and some of the cramping eased up
Thank you
