So I have quick question on the weekend carb ups. It says about eating 30% fat and 15% protein on the weekends and I was wondering if i went over on these 2 percentages how much this would effect the diet. As long as I hit the 55% carbs would it matter if I went over on the other 2? For example my Monday-Friday is this, 3000 calories a day with my macros being 65% fat 30% protein and 5% carbs. This breaks down into grams as 217g of fat, 225g of protein and 30g of carbs. On my weekend the numbers are 413g of carbs 113g of protein and 100g of fat. I’m 140 pounds and the reason I bumped it to 3000 calories a day because I was at 2700 and still not gaining. I’m doing the bulking phase now as I’m only 9% BF. My main concern is really these weekends. I read the article by T-Nation where the guy says he ate pizza and ice cream on his weekends and granted yes this would help him hit the high carbs but it’s also going to make him go over on his protein and fat. This is my biggest question. Will going over on fat and protein effect this diet on the weekend? I’ll still get most of calories from carbs and hit my carb goal of 413g easily which I feel is the point on the carb ups but not sure how much I’ll be effected by going over on the other 2 percentages. I know I’ll be going over calories and that’s fine since I’m trying to bulk. I know of course that by going over on protein and fat I won’t be at 3000 calories so as far as that goes I’ll be eating more calories on the weekends.
