What to eat before a Marathon ?

Marathon is an endurance event which last for more than 2hrs. Body needs continuous supply of fuel to perform efficiently. What to eat before a marathon is very important factor to consider for increased performance.

Best diet for runners is to increase intake of carbs few days before event and decrease the exercise intensity. Consuming more carbs prepares muscles and liver to store more carbs as glycogen which act as a fuel. If more glycogen is stored then it will take longer time to get depleted. Thus runners diet plan must focus on increased carbs so that body gets continuous supply of fuel for peak performance.
