I’m new to working out. I’m a 32 year old male, 6’2 190 pounds. Before I started going to the gym I was fasting every morning, and eating about 1800 calories a day give or take. Last week I went to the gym and lifted every day for 30-45 minutes. I felt good enough yesterday to start using free weights and isolating muscle groups in my arms. I ate around 2500 calories yesterday.
My problem is that today around noon I started having a dizzy spell. I felt like I might faint. I drink plenty of water, around 2 gallons a day, and don’t have any issues with blood sugar. I’ve had a full medical workup around 6 months ago. I have been pretty fatigued from all the gym time so I’m taking a couple rest days. I also took a long nap today and feel a little better.
Is it possible that I’m accidentally starving myself even though I’m eating more than normal by quite a bit? I have panic attacks and I suffered one after the dizzy spell because health issues trigger them. It may have just been a bad panic attack building up after an extremely stressful week.
