Hi just looking for some advice
I was always under the impression that when In a deficit you should always consume at least 1gram of protein per lb of body weight or as close to that as possible.
I’m 31 years old, female, 5’1 in height and weigh 152lbs I’m currently eating 1400 calories and my macros are 140g protein 123g carbs and 39g of fat. I’d love to be able to have more fat and carbs if possible but do I not have to keep my protein this high or can I go lower On protein and increase other macros?
I could increase my calories and eat more carbs yes but when I go above 1400 calories my weight seems to stall. I train 3-4x a week and have just started adding 20-30 mins cardio after weight training ( I’m training to be a fitness instructor so I added the cardio to improve my cardiovascular endurance for when I’m taking classes, but also because I enjoy it very much)
I’m struggling to stick to my macros and I don’t know wether it’s due to my carbs not exactly being high where I can enjoy other foods which leads me to binge at times, instead of being able to fit little treats in here and there.
