Liquid Calories

So I work around 10-16 hours a day and I have not been able to find the time to meal plan and get things properly going for my nutrition, currently I am trying to gain weight because I want to participate in strongmen, I'm sitting at 189lbs and trying to average around 2500-3000 calories for meals, for the extra calories I need I've been just drinking a large amount of calorie dense liquids like chocolate milk, mass gainer protein shakes, gatorade, and other drinks in between and I was wondering if that was a smart idea. Thanks for the input.
