Maintenance calories

Hello, I do have a misunderstanding, right now i'm sedentary, i don't do so much except walking to school and back (about 4 km). So, I want to find my maintenance calories and I don't know if I need to start workout and do some more movement while calculating my maintenance calories or do my daily routine (staying in bed, light movement). I'm afraid that i'll do something wrong and I don't really waste my time :)
So should I start lifting weights and do some more movement (like jogging and HIIT) while calculating my maintenance calories?
Please guys I really need your help, I'm a beginner.
