I was just watching a video and one of his tips to improve ur growth hormones naturally was to cut out carbs 2-3 hours before you go to bed. He said carbs or fatty snacks before bed increases your insulin, and when you are sleeping is when your growth hormones increase the most so you don’t want high insulin because it blocks out the growth hormones. I have been lifting for around 8 months and eating 3000 calories then recently upping it to 3500 calories. And one of my favourite things to get in the calories is but having a shake before I go to bed. It’s around 1000 calories depending on the milk and ingredients you get. 1.5 cups of milk, 1 banana, 1 scoop of protein powder, 1 cup of oats, 1 cup of frozen strawberry’s, and 2 table spoons of peanut butter. The total macros are 132 grams of carbs, 31 grams of fat and 67 grams of protein. Please let me know if I should stop right before bed or if it won’t effect much thank you. I am 16 by the way.
