Hi there,
So from what I understand, sodium is a primary causes water weight which is is bad when going into a competition etc (or i guess a beach vacation). I have been avoiding sodium pretty obsessively getting no more than 1500mg on a 'bad' day. However I am not professional, doing a slow and steady clean bulk. Food tastes bland and when I eat anything salty I get anxious. I sweat in hot baths for like 30 mins a day and live on dandelion tea.
What I am wondering is, how bad is sodium in this situation? Does it really cause that much weight? And is it easy to drop?
I am around 10.6% body fat at the moment, 5'8. Weight 140.4 pounds, my BMR is 1600 cal. According to an app my body water is 64.6% but who knows how accurate that is?
As an aside, for the clean bulk i am eating around 2k calories a day - doing HIIT once a week, lifting 4/5 times. Does that sound reasonable?
Thanks!
