For many many year I have attempted bulking and lean bulking with little or no plan and guidance. I ended up giving up due to too much fat gain esp around my stomach.
This time I want to do things right. My question is if I go on a 200-300 calorie surplus a day and train hard for muscle gain, how much fat gain is “normal” over around 3 month period?
I am a beginner aged 37 starting on stronglifts. I know the answer is probably subjective but I just want some ball park ideas perhaps based on others’ experience or knowledge.
