While preventive measures and policies for the wellbeing of people are a welcome move, Budget 2021 was only aimed at addressing the immediate need, and was far from being a long-term booster to the sector. Renewed focus on the sector and introduction of more appropriate policies like PLI can make Budget 2022 the dawn of a new era for the sector.
