The title may be stupid (very stupid in fact) but I find myself in a weird situation.
I recently hired a personal trainer to get me started on my bulking training, both at the gym and in the kitchen. While I have no problems with the gym routine (at the moment) The diet he sent me includes the following (ingredients here not separated into meals/diches):
300g of chicken
20g of olive oil
450g of rice
50g of lettuce/salad
300g of potato
2 pieces of fruit (depending on season)
50g of turkey
100g of ham
30g of nuts/almonds
150g of bread
50g of avocado
by my estimations, the whole diet rounds up to 3700 calories he says its closer to 2800. I went through the whole list with him and when we got to the rice is where we found the big difference in calculations.
Note, I asked him several times if he meant 450g of rice after cooking and he insisted that it was before cooking, and that when cooked rice loses a lot of its calories, saying it went into the water which then evaporated (more or less, he said he didnt know the exact science)
I googled it and couldn't find anything of the sort. Is he very mistaken/misunderstood or is there something I'm missing?
