I’m on my weightlifting journey and this will be the end of my 3rd month this week. I started chubby at 165 5’8, and now i’m 148 5”8. I’m cutting and it’s been working great, i have pictures on my profile if you would please view them. I’m doing a iifym “diet” and i love it, it’s liberating. I still eat fruit and vegetables from here and there through my meals. My maxes are bench -155, squat -225 and deadlift -300. Now, this relates to nutrition because i’ve been having one cheat day every month ever since i started, where i just enjoy myself for one day every month, eating whatever. It hasn’t really affected my fitness goals or anything like that and if it did i just bounce back the next day. My question is does one cheat day a month ruin any progress you’ve made? Also, could i consider doing 2 cheat days a month? 1 every 2 weeks? And by cheat days i don’t mean cheat meals, i mean completely indulging in the foods i love.
