3 meals a day vs 6 meals a day - what's better for fat loss?

For example if you cook food of 1800 calories that you have to consume in one day and you are trying to lose weight. Are 6 small meals of that food spread throughout the day better than taking 3 bigger sized meals? Or does it not matter at all?

I've read new studies show that eating more meals in a day as compared to less meals of the same calorie don't affect the metabolism at all, hence, there's no difference in eating 3 meals a day or 6 meals a day as long as you are getting the same amount of calories.

What do you guys think? I personally prefer 3 meals, less hassle.
