I've seen all the threads on this as well as on google and there seems to be a strong reaction with everybody screaming eating disorder and I just can't seem to understand it! I have a perfectly fine diet, I eat potatoes for carb source since they are satiating, I've been having high protein via fish and tons of fruits and vegetables and watching my macros. I stay in a caloric deficit of about 200-300 and I've been cutting from 12% bodyfat to 8% in the last 3 months or so. I have no energy fluctuations and barely have cravings. But when it comes down to it sometimes I wanna eat some chips for the taste and I don't want the calories. So I chew them and then I spit them out. What's the big deal? The only way I can see this being an issue is if the calories are still going into my body at full force eg. 300 calories worth of chips swallowed = 300 calories worth of chips chew and spit. But I doubt that's the case. At worst I can see it being 1/3 or less of the calories. And it allows me to stay in goal while eating my perfectly balanced diet otherwise. So what's the big deal here? Are people just very quick to judge and scream out disorder without understanding the thought process behind stuff or am I missing something?
Just thought this would make for an interesting topic since most of the other threads don't go into detail regarding OP's thought process and then they get instantly bashed until they get embarassed and say they'll stop.
