This might be a dumb question but is all body fat made of the same composition? If I were to gain fat from pizza and ice cream would it be any different than fat from eating excess calories in the form of just say lean chicken breast?
I have been sitting around 10% body fat all summer and I am really wanting to gain muscle but I am not very good at gaining weight. I do not think I can get excess calories eating healthy. I have tried but I just don;t seem to make it work. I usually make my protein goal daily of 155g but most of the time at the end of the day I am still 300 - 400 calories under my maintenance (2500) so I'll eat some junk (ice cream, peanut butter honey ritz, nutella on ritz) to keep from losing weight. My strength has been increasing all summer adding weight to lifts and adding reps to body weight exercises.
