At what macros does recovery peak per single meal?

I want to eat 5 meals a day, but I want to save most of my calories for the evening.
So for the first 4 small meals, is there any point to consume past a certain amount of carbs and protein? Or does recovery per meal peak at, let's say, 30g protein and 30g carbs? The daily caloric needs will be met with a final large dinner meal.
Is there any consensus at all when it comes to this?
