Eating 20 grams of almonds before each meal can reverse prediabetes in almost a quarter of people, according to a study led by Anoop Misra, Professor and Chairman at Delhi-based Fortis-C-DOC Centre of Excellence for Diabetes. The research, which was conducted on 60 prediabetic study participants aged between 18 and 60, found the introduction of almonds into diets helped normalise blood sugar levels.
