Delta variant's ability to evade antibodies could be the cause of some Covid reinfections

A paper published by a group of researchers at Gujarat Biotechnology Research Centre currently being peer-reviewed, claims that the changes in the Delta variant (B.1.167.2) made it ‘escape’ the antibodies gained by a person either through earlier infection or through intervention like vaccination. Researchers have advocated genomic sequencing for better monitoring of new variants.
