Things to eat throughout the day before weight training?

I don't lift weights (bulking right now) until about 5:00 pm during a day, that's a good 10 hours after I wake up and start my day. Before I workout I eat carbs, a little fat for the extra satiety, and a little protein to prevent any possible muscle catabolization and to let my muscles start growing right after their hit (I dont have any scientific or researched knowledge to back up if this is even useful.) Throughout the day I get really hungry, even after a 600 cal breakfast, even though I am pretty sedentary due to school. What should I eat to stall my body from eating muscle before my workout, I was thinking just a lot of healthy fat since fat can be used as an energy source and would keep me satisfied but Im thinking that would leave me tired without any carbs at all. Any thoughts?
