Health spend growth dips as Covid fades

As a proportion of GDP, health spending has declined post-pandemic, dropping from 1.23% in 2020-21 to 1.19% in FY23 and is expected to slip further in the coming year to 1.17%. The Centre's health spending eased from 0.41% of GDP to 0.3% of GDP over this period.
