I'm curious what the most extravagant, expensive meal you've ever had consisted of?
Personally, mine was an anniversary dinner I had with my ex-girlfriend.
I had to reserve a private room with an ocean view at perhaps the most expensive restaurant in the city (Canlis, in Seattle)... which alone came with a dedicated wine-specialist, totally closed off from everyone else.
We had two appetizers, which included crab cakes and a speciality sushi platter... with a wine pairing.
Then we had entrees, I had Salmon with roasted local root veggies and asparagus, and she had a steak with something else on the side.... also came with a wine pairing.
Then we split a piece of this cake for dessert, paired with cappucinos.
Between the two of us, I think with tip it came to around $500 dollars which included the cost of the room itself for those couple hours. But man it was good!
