Medical intervention in week 2 of Covid-19 can prevent deaths

Chairperson of Covid services at AIIMS, Dr Sushma Bhatnagar, who is also the corresponding author of the study, told the TOI that hospital admission in the third or fourth week of illness increased the odds of Covid death. ​Pre-existing comorbidities and old age, are the other major risk factors.
