Hey guys. I'm running out of money from buying all these expensive protein powders. 50% of my paycheck goes straight into creatine and protein powder. I live in Miami, and rent is going up and up.
Recently, I was watching this James May video about him cooking a cat food pie. He said that it was perfectly safe to eat for humans, and it got me thinking. I went to my local store's pet food aisle, and I noticed something. 400g of cat food for only 89 cents.
So, this is my question: Can you bulk with only cat food? If you think about it, it would be good, since it's chicken. Also, 400g of chicken for 89 cents is really sustainable.
My protein powder costs 50 dollars for 2kg.
The cat food is 89 cents for 400g.
400x5=2000 (2kg)
89x5=445 (4 dollars and 45 cents)
So, for 4 dollars and 45 cents, I get 2kg of chicken, while I have to spend 50 dollars for 2kg of protein powder. Think about it. In a kilogram of chicken, there's 270 grams of protein, and in an average kg of protein powder, there is 800 grams of protein, so even if you have to eat three times the amount of chicken you're still saving SO much money. What do you think about this?
