My wife is a coach on this Beach Body thing. I am not an expert at all on this. But basically there is a nutrition system using different size color coded containers to portion out protein, carbs, healthy fat, veggies, fruits, etc. There is way more to the system, it is basically a social media platform and a long list of coaches and workout programs you can follow. My wife has seen great results on it. She lost baby weight crazy fast.
I started using the container system to portion out food. I never stuck to calorie counting for longer than a week, and tried to continue the trajectory. But calorie counting was never a feasible solution for me. I have been using the container system for 2 months now and my weight became very consistent day to day and I was easily able to control my weight using this system. I literally just use the containers to portion out food and do not have to track calories.
A few things though, this system does not work well with restaurants or processed food unless you can rough estimate the containers. This isnt a big deal to me because I worked in restaurants a lot as a kid and I know how disgusting they are and I refuse to eat at restaurants. And I already am a big believer in eating foods as close to how they are grown naturally as possible. So if you do these two things already and dont like counting calories then this is a good system for being consistent with your eating. You can go up or down a plan to gain or loss weight as needed.
