
Chennai-based drug maker, Orchid Pharma, has signed a technology transfer agreement with a multinational biotechnology company, for its 7ACA project under the production linked incentive (PLI) scheme. The deal will enable Orchid Bio Pharma to manufacture "7-ACA" with a capacity of 1,000 tonnes p.a. 7-ACA is the key intermediate for the synthesis of semisynthetic cephalosporin antibiotics.
