
Baring Private Equity Asia (BPEA) EQT has agreed to buy a 60% stake in Indira IVF, the largest provider of fertility services in India, for $1.1bn, with existing investor TA Associates set to sell its 47% holding. Indira IVF, which has facilitated 125,000 successful pregnancies to date, is valued at between $1bn and $1.2bn. The company posted revenue of INR12.5bn ($169m) in its latest financial year and completes about 40,000 in vitro fertilisation cycles per year, said a release. India's IVF industry is a potential $12bn market that is expanding at a 20% compound annual growth rate.
