Hello! I’m new here and new to working out in general! With Bench pressing, whether it’s barbell or dumbbells, I’ve heard a lot about keeping the shoulder blades retracted (I’ve always been a flat back bencher but I want to learn the shoulders retracted version) but do they need to be retracted tightly through out the movement? I’ve tried this several times and I feel somewhat discomfort in my lower back when I tried a dumbbell incline bench press. And I can’t seem to keep my shoulder blades retracted when doing a flat bench press. Any advice/tips? Thanks! (Apologies for the long first post!)
