India to extend interval between Covishield vaccine doses to up to eight weeks

In a meeting last week, the experts decided to give flexibility up to 8 weeks for Covishield, a senior government official told ET. However, for the indigenously produced Covid-19 vaccine Covaxin, it decided to continue with the existing interval of 4-6 weeks.
