amount of carbs in bulking?

Good afternoon, I always read that carbs are essential in bulking to maximize lean mass gain, not to say it is essential to gain but to maximize gain, yes. I saw several places advise bulking to use 4gr to 6gr per kg of carbs but I notice that I have a lot of sensitivity to carbs and I retain a lot of water with that amount. What I wanted to know is if I limit it to 200-250 carbs a day, I notice an improvement in definition and the strength remains good, with that amount wouldn’t maximize the lean mass gain? Would you gain more lean mass if you use 4gr per kg?
