Should I start 'bulking'?

Hi all,

First time poster but long time lurker of the forums so be kind :)

Some background to me... I have gone from 232lbs to my current weight of 178lbs since Jan 2019. I am currently 23 years old.

However now I have come to a point where I am incredibly frustrated at my strength in the gym and really want to pack on some decent size however I haven't really tried to increase my calories since I started losing weight and as I've worked so hard to reduce fat I am wanting to build muscle whilst adding as little fat as possible.

I am a little over 6ft and have a sedentary office job however religiously hit 10k steps a day and lift weights 4 times a week (when they are actually open these days!!)

Whilst gyms have been closed in the UK I have been eating on average around 2,000 calories a day, they have recently reopened so I have increased this to 2,200 to reflect the increase in activity. However, I was thinking of increasing this to 2,600 seeing how my weight reacts to that and also if my performance in the gym increases and then adjust calories from there on a trial and error basis, do you guys think this is the right idea?

I have attached some photos to my body space which hopefully you will be able to see? I think I am of the right physique to begin increasing my calories, what do you guys think? Also, what would you estimate my body fat to be? I'd be interested to hear opinions as I have no idea.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
