Low(ish) Vitamin D even with sunlight and supplementation??

My serum VitD came back right on the lower threshold of the ref range (29.9).

For the past several months I have been taking 1000iu daily in addition to getting 30-90min of outdoor time daily, in most cases with at least some sunshine.

What I’m curious about is whether or not a lower body weight (either now or recently sustained for a long time) could effect this, given it is a fat soluble vitamin. I have been gaining weight steadily for several months and am now technically in the medically ‘normal’ BMI range, though still about 20lb below what I’d consider ‘normalized’ for me.
