COVID-19 can cause permanent damage to lungs, says study

Research by Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, has found that Covid-19 in some patients can lead to irreversible and permanent lung damage, rendering them irrecoverable, and leaving lung transplantation as the only option for survival.
