Hey everyone, so I could really use some opinions and advice on my current dieting/exercise plan.
Currently, I am around 167lbs, 5'9, and am 21 years old. I lift every day for around an hour to an hour and a half and I superset almost all of my lifts, followed immediately by a 2-mile run which takes about 15 minutes. I am also a collegiate lacrosse player, so a few days of the week I have practice and run around for about an hour or 2 of intense exercise and drills.
I began cutting weight about 2 weeks ago and at that time I was about 177lbs. The reason I began cutting was that I would like to see more definition and lower my body fat%. However, I do not really want to lose any strength as I need to be in peak physical condition for lacrosse.
My diet plan has consisted of a whey protein shake, grilled chicken breast, salmon, brown rice, quinoa, reduced-fat crackers like the ritz toasted chips, and the occasional bite of halo top or dark chocolate. I have almost no idea how many calories I really burn a day, but have been limiting myself to 1900 calories max. but I usually leave like 100-300 on the board.
So I have a few questions if you guys wouldn't mind sharing your thoughts. I have been feeling more and more tired/sore after my workouts and I am ok with this as long as it's not because I have "unhealthy habits". Also, I am one of those people who just has a bottomless stomach and can eat all day if I let myself, so the whole diet thing is really hard as I'm always hungry. To make it worse I have such strong cravings for all the foods I know I shouldn't eat like fried things and sweets.
I would love to hear thoughts on what I am doing and any recommendations to curb those cravings! Thanks!!
