Started lifting 3-4 months ago, making decent progress. Adding muscle, but, also fat.
I work out in the evenings 6-8pm. Mainly lifting, do some light walking during the day (around the office).
I’ve been told to intake protein during or immediately after workout. So, I have a protein shake and usually some type of meat.
But, I go to bed at 10pm, and I’ve read that it is not optimal to have food in your stomach when you’re going to bed.
Are my above assumptions correct? If so, should I limit my post workout intake to a simple shake? Get the rest of my needed protein during the day?
