I used to workout a LOT but slowed down over the past 2 years, got back into it about 2 months ago and have been on a steady cut, trying to get down to my lowest BF possible and stay/maintain while increasing muscle mass. It's gone well, with me losing mycovid-15 at a pretty stable rate (~0.5 lbs a week). My lifts have still been increasing/not stalling at a stable rate as well.
About a week ago I randomly decided to try upping my protein intake, which is something I never bothered to monitor much since seeing how well prisoners gain while on their gruel diets. All i did was try to supplement my existing diet, but when I noticed I was bloating up due to whey (lactose I guess) i decided to just literally add more protein to my diet and eat a bit more.
And now it's like my appetite has gone out of control. I binge a lot more, even though it's me mostly shoveling more lean protein in addition to what I've been eating the past 8 weeks. But my body still sort of looks good, maybe even better? Like I ate fast food for the first time in months a day ago (chicken tenders tossed in sauce) and expected to be a bloated mess next day, but instead my face, where I usually hold the most fat, looked leaner than usual.
TLDR While on a steady and stable cut I decided to up my protein intake, now it's harder for me to limit myself to just what I've been eating before. I feel way more inclined to binge.
