I typically workout 3 days a week on AllPro and making progress week to week in general. But I’ve noticed anytime I take a break cu I slept bad the day before or work schedule etc, I loose progress very very rapidly.
i worked out last Monday and planned to take Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday off and workout Friday. Well I could not workout Friday cuz I slept like crap for a couple days and did not feel like body would be up for a heavy workout Friday. So I rested well Friday and worked out yesterday. (Making it a 4 days off instead of typical 2 days off). Only to feel the weight crazy heavy and have lost 2 or so reps on almost every exercise.
WTH? Is this normal? This has happened to me before as well where I loose progress very fast. Next workout I should be back to where I was last week based on history but why does this happen? Should I be upset or do I need to correct my expectations?
Most people say they gain strength and come back stronger but not me...
When I would take a vacation pre-Corona, in 7 days off, I would loose a bunch of strength and conditioning.
