I have a feeling the answer to this will be do whatever you prefer but I'll ask anyway since I need a break from misc and r/p. In terms of efficiency is there a better option? I was mid cut before my gym shut down in early March and I lost quite a bit of strength. I also put on about 5 pounds so with the muscle loss it might be more than that in fat. I still look ok so I'm fine with bulking for a bit but I would've liked to finish my cut first. But with all of the muscle loss that might just make me look skinny. I figured in the next 12 months 9 would be spent bulking and 3 cutting. I started cutting but my performance in the gym just sucks so I'm starting to wonder if my time is better spent getting some strength back before I cut.
Thoughts?
edit: and when I say bulk I mean a very slight surplus at least until my strength comes back - something in the ballpark of 2800 calories which puts me just over maintenance
