I've been getting back into the swing of things weight training wise. Back on Whey and creatine.
I'm 35 years old. Joints and energy levels aren't what they used to be. So I've been reading up what supplements I can take to improve my gains and overall well being.
Most studies come out either neutral or negative on the efficacy multivitamins and joint supps. Articles end with the proverbial "eat healthy" mantra. That you are better off getting those health befits from the foods itself.
Which begs the question why are the supps not as effective as a food source? If you can distill a vitamin into a powder/pill/whatever source, why doesn't the body use it like it would from a food?
Not sure I want to spend money on supps if it's basically going to be pissed away.
