Bulking without changing food volume.

Do you think it makes it easier to cut and reveal your gains after a bulk by not increasing total food volume but by simply using more calorie dense foods? Wouldnt that help relieve hunger while cutting if you then swap back in lower calorie foods but at the same quantity? Thoughts? Planning a fall bulk after being a perma-cutter for like 5 years.
