Hi all,
I am a relative 50 yo noob started lifting July 2019. Since Covid been doing DB workouts at home as well as Peloton for cardio. My weight was 123lbs over summer and I am macro based trying to increase. I am up to 132 with 191C, 40F, and 201P daily. to be honest I dont even get 40g Fat most days. I know its only approx 2000 calories and I could use more but my BF is increasing.
So the question is as my weight is going up with lifting 4 days and 3 days cardio, my BF is slowly increasing as well. Is this normal? Is there a way to gain weight without the fat? While the BF is not accurate, my relative guide based on my home scale has gone from 11.5 to 12.5% (im likely higher but just use it as a trend as Im not going to the gyms yet). Also can see more fat in my mid section than prior.
PS I have read many post/thread/sticky's on here but looking for this is tough.
Thank you in advance.
