India’s obesity drug market is set for a new phase as Novo Nordisk’s oral Wegovy and Eli Lilly’s oral GLP-1 orforglipron are expected to launch in the first half of 2027. Industry sources said both have been submitted to Indian regulators, potentially expanding demand beyond injectable treatments.
