More Fat? Or More Carbs?

Hello all. First post here.

Getting into fitness. I understand macronutrients and everything that goes with them.
However, my question is this:

For weight loss, what is better? A higher percentage of fats in my macro ratio? Or a higher percentage of carbohydrates?

I was running a higher percentage of carbs in the beginning (first two weeks) and my workouts have always been energetic. But after switching to a higher percentage of fats, my workout today was sluggish. I wouldn't get dizzy, but I would experience a weakness creep over me after each set.

I read somewhere that lower carbs are better for someone who is trying to lose quite a bit of weight (such as me, weighing 300lbs wanting to get down to 275lbs at least, for my initial goal).

I have no issue fitting either ratio into my daily nutrition, I just really hate the way I felt today..

SO.. lower carbs? or higher carbs? What is a good overall ration between the three macros for weight loss?
Experiences with both? Comments, suggestions? Anything is welcome.

Thanks
